Chad, do you really think it is recent success that got you the invite to the Pac 10? If that is your argument please explain why you were invited with the mighty Colorado Buffaloes? The fact they were invited as well puts huge holes in your argument that you were invited due to recent success.

Chad, I will admit I wish we were in the PAC 12 with Utah instead of Colorado. As for your relevance argument, I am glad you will get a game on ESPN this year. Of course if you weren't playing at BYU you would have no nationally televised games. Your game against USC will be on Versus. Maybe you will have a double header with a MWC game that week? I think your coverage will have been better in the MWC, but at least you will have more money. Needless to say, BYU has proved they are relevant with the deal they signed with ESPN.

Utah was an afterthought once Texas turned the Pac 10 down in addition to the other 5 schools they invited to come with them. To keep Baylor from coming into the Pac 10 they invited Colorado way too early and then when Texas left them with their pants down the Pac 10 did not want to get stuck at 11, so they invited Utah. It had nothing to do with Utah success, but rather Utah was in the right place at the right time. I think it had much more to do with BYU being a religious school than it had to do with recent success, or any other factor Utah fans like to use.

Again, I would prefer the Pac 12 to independence, but it was fairly obvious early on that BYU would not be considered due to the religious affiliation. I love Independence and our deal with ESPN, but I can't stand that our basketball conference is in the WCC.

Travis......it is 2011! Stop living in the past.....Recent success is why we are moving on to the PAC 10. Utah Football is relevant, BYU football, is....NOT! BYU hasnt been relevant since the 80's. Enjoy your lonely, independant road. Maybe some day, someone will want you! Enjoy your WAC football schedule and WCC basketball schedule.....LOL!

Richard, Congratulations on being invited to the PAC 10. You will be very competitive with Washington State, Colorado, Arizona and Arizona State. I am sure you will be comfortable in the middle of the Pac 10, just like you have been in the WAC and MWC.
