It feels good to be back on top of the rivalry! BYU has now won 3 of the last 4 rivalry games and Bronco is 3-2 in head to head games with Whittingham. It is great to be a Cougar!
To all the whiny U fans trying to make a big deal out of Hall’s comments, you look foolish trying to divert the attention from the game. You lost, get over it! While he probably should not have said anything, who cares that he hates you? Did he hurt your feelings? You must think of Max Hall in high regards if you care so much about how he feels about you!
At least he didn’t attack an entire religion like Alex Smith did while proclaiming his hate for BYU. You can read about how Alex Smith thinks the LDS faithful are arrogant by clicking here. Or you can see how Morgan Scalley declares his hatred for BYU by calling everyone involved with BYU “Pricks” by clicking here. I point out these two incidents to show U fans how to brush that type of stuff under the rug. As BYU fans we don’t care that U players hate us. It wasn’t a big deal then and it wouldn’t be now if U fans hadn’t got their panties all twisted up in a wad after Hall’s comments. Honestly, do you really care that Max Hall hates you?
I almost forgot to mention that George is still running!
Congratulations. For every “whiny U fan” there’s a whiny Y fan. It evens out. Temporally, and Eternally……
Casey, that is very true. There are all kinds of fans on both sides of the rivalry, it does even out.
This year has amazed me at the backlash that Max Hall is receiving for saying something that has been said many times before. I have heard U fans say that “It was worth losing just so Max would say what he did”. Really? U fans would rather lose and hear Max say something stupid than win the game? Now, I know that you are an educated fan (This is clear by how well you have done in the Pick ‘em league), and do not think this way.
Why do you think U fans have made such a big deal out of this when things like this have been said for years? Also, keep in mind that U fans did the same thing 2 years ago with the “Magic Happens” quote. I feel like a lot of U fans will do whatever they can to take the focus away from the game whenever they lose. Camille can back me up in that whenever BYU loses I will congratulate the other side and that is it. It is just interesting to me because I could care less what players say before or after the game. It is fun to follow, but at the end of the day all I care about is the result.
I wish the football rivalry would become more like the basketball rivalry. Coach Rose and Boylen are both class acts and they handle things the right way.
